V. Necessity is the Mother of Invention
Section A: Jumping Off Cliffs
You’ve heard that necessity is the mother of invention. And right now, you have a business idea burning up inside of you. It’s the kind of passion that keeps you awake at night. It gets you jumping out of bed in the morning, eager to get back to thinking about and working on your idea. You’re so excited about turning your business dream into a reality. And you just can’t imagine NOT pursuing this dream.
Tell you what, that’s necessity if I ever heard it. And if you allow yourself an open mind, you’ll find that you’ll be able to tap into all sorts of wonderfully inventive ways to bootstrap your business and raise the funds you need.
You’re gonna have to take a risk here and there. You’re going to have to believe in yourself and your business idea. But Kurt Vonnegut summed it up nicely when he said, “We have to continually be jumping off cliffs and developing our wings on the way down.”
That’s where you are right now – standing on the cliff of your business dream. And if you want to launch it right, you’re going to have to jump.
Fortunately, this course provided you with the tools you need to get your business off the ground, no matter what your budget. This includes the planning sheets and checklists that you’ll find inside the manual that accompanies this course. I strongly urge you to take advantage of these tools by putting them to work immediately after this video ends.
Now, one warning . . .
The worst thing you can do is raise a bunch of money and throw it at a bad business idea. Equally bad is to throw the money into advertising before you’ve really thought through how you’re going to position yourself in the market.
